This is a short 2 day trip to Quilotoa and Baños. You will visit the beautiful turquoise lagoon and Baños, the adventure capital of Ecuador. On this tour you will travel along the avenue of the volcanoes and the route of the waterfalls.
Itinerary
Day 1: Quilotoa - Baños
Beginning
Pick-up and drop-off in your hotel located in the 3 main areas: Carolina, Plaza Foch, Plaza Grande.
Stop in Machachi
Arrive at the Machachi. Here we will have the chance to enjoy a delicious breakfast and observe the highlands. (breakfast not included)
Traditional house
Visit a traditional house of moorland, here we will be able to appreciate the raising of the guinea pigs and the agriculture of the area.




Breathtaking Andean scenery
You'll get to enjoy the Andes, its valleys and mountains.

Tigua Art Gallery
We will make a stop to visit an art gallery at Tigua, this small town is weel know for the Naif style and also because most of the people work produccing paintings. Locals represent the nature, animals and local festivities on their paintings.

Quilotoa Lagoon
Arrive in the community of Quilotoa where we will enjoy a view of the Quilotoa lagoon, an incredible turquoise lake located just inside the caldera of an active volcano. We will make the walk to the lagoon, so you can enjoy the landscape. At the end of the walk, we will have time for lunch, is a late lunch so you can bring snacks with you, lunch not included.





Departure from Quilotoa to Baños
We will continue to Baños on a ride about 3 hours
Hotel in Baños
Arrive to your hotel in Baños, enjoy your free time walking around Baños by your own or swimming on the thermal baths. This is an optional activity because if you want to rest you can stay in the hotel. You can book your hotel with us.

Day 2: Baños - Quito
Morning in Baños
Pick up at the hotel to start the day’s activities
Waterfalls route
We will cross the famous route of Waterfalls , this impressive route through the road that connects the Ecuadorian highlands with the jungle is full of waterfalls and tunnels, enjoy the views.

Cable car
Cross the river on the cable car and enjoy one of the most extraordinary views you’ve ever seen, with 360-degree views of waterfalls, mountains, and beautiful jungle landscapes.



Pailón del Diablo
Visit the impressive Pailon del Diablo waterfall (Devil’s Caldera), we will take a walk until we reach the waterfall to feel its strength and power.



Lunch
We will make a stop for lunch, where you can try typical local dishes (lunch not included).
Swing at the end of the world
Visit the famous “Swing at the end of the world” at La Casa del Arbol and admire the wonderful views of the mountainous landscapes.

Optional activities in Baños
We will make an optional stop for extreme activities: zipline, bunging jumping, etc. Stop not available on hollidays.

Return from Baños to Quito
Approximate arrival time at 8:00 p.m depending on the traffic. We will drop you off at your hotel within the three drop-off areas: La Carolina, Foch Plaza, and Old town. If you have more remote lodging, ask for the upgrades.
